Batch homogenizing furnaces are designed with one directional airflow mainly. The new generation CitiUS batch furnaces are designed with reversed air flow which reduces temperature deviation between outer and inner logs and gives fast heating of the logs.
In addition to logs (round ingots), slabs can also be homogenized in this type of furnaces.
Capacity of the furnaces varie from 10 to 100 tons/batch.
Some of the distinguishing features of CitiUS furnaces are as following:
• Much better temperature homogeneity
• Suitable for all ingot shapes
• Faster heating-up rates
• Lower energy consumption
• Higher flexibility, even for highly variable groupings of ingots in each batch
• Economically expandable, without additional handling systems
• Extremely reliable operation, little down-time, low maintenance and repair costs
• Low labour costs, full automation
The facility can be implemented to comply with the standards required by the automotive (CQI-9) and aerospace (AMS 2750) industry.
These are fully automatic systems developed for aluminium billets to achieve the desired mechanical properties after casting. In the working style of automatic systems, the billets after casting are cut on the saw and laid down on the loading station. Billets in the loading area are placed in the homogenization furnace with the help of a loading systems. Thanks to the heat and air flow controlled in the furnace, the desired homogeneous heat distribution is achieved with a tolerance of ± 3 ° C, and the production of billet of equal quality up to 8000 mm is ensured. After the homogenization process, the billets are transferred to the cooling chamber and cooled down with rate sup to 1000 °C / hour cooling rates then they are weighted and packed automatically. The fully automatic process saves almost half time compared to conventional systems. System equipment: Complete billet loading system, billet transfer conveyor, saw, ultrasonic control system, transfer car, oven billet loading conveyor, continuous homogenization oven, continuous rapid billet cooling cabinet, cooling cabinet output conveyor, automatic/semi-automatic strapping machines and marking machine.
Capacity of the furnace varies from 2 to 15 tons/hour.
– Reliable, best homogenizing quality, uniform for all billets
– Most economical homogenization for mainstream 6000 series alloys
– Lowest labour costs, full automation
– Best log straightness, no deep surface marks
– Extremely reliable operation, little down-time, low maintenance and repair costs
– Lowest energy consumption, low power ratings
– Flexibility of plant layout
– Process data log for each individual billet
